Miracast is a killer feature poised to wipe out other video streaming standards in a very fragmented Android market.

Acting like a wireless HDMI cable, Miracast mirrors your Android device onto your TV screen in high definition and with audio. Once Miracast is enabled, everything -- from the general interface, to apps and videos -- is duplicated on the big screen without the burden of a cable connecting the two devices.

This is semi-disruptive, imo, particularly for broadcast media channels that want a paygate for streaming.

This dongle seems to get the best overall reviews between the comments of the above article and AMZ reviews

I've had a Miracast dongle for over a year

Kindle Fire HD + Miracast + TV = awesome

For us, the big thing is that we don't have anything close to enough bandwidth to stream video at home (two HD movies would be more than *all* our monthly bandwidth), but if you have a Kindle, Amazon lets you download free movies on Prime and watch them later. So when we're in range of better internet, we grab a bunch of stuff and then get home and mirror the Kindle to the TV and watch.

Sometimes you have to reboot one or the other to get the connection to work, but generally works pretty well.

Ooooh! (Light goes on)

Is Prime delayed viewing a gated function of Kindle,  or a function of Prime and available on other devices?
