Now I know why SimilarWeb is so much more accurate than Alexa (or, in my experience, SpyFu or SEMRush) for small and medium sites. In addition to the agreements with ISPs that the others have, instead of simply asking people to install the Alexa toolbar (does this even exist aymore?), they buy popular extensions, ad spyware and push them back out to the world.

That just mod'd a site's css, right? For desktops, I highly recommend *monkey userscripts. Be forewarned, though, it's addictive.
