That's really interesting technology.  Compressed air spins the turbines, but it is still pumping water around quite a bit.  I guess it is more efficient than increasing the PSI by pumping air into the cavern?

Wow. 10GWH is a lot of juice! I wonder how much the big dams store (not counting inflows).

I almost mentioned when you posted the above that I hadn't heard much about superheated salts lately... until today
