I'm just the opposite of ergophobe... I'm thinking you are on to something ergophobe!
I meant it as irony, but... I think it is ceasing to be so. I just had to start using Google Talk for various reasons (as but one example).
Ultimately, though, I think if you value privacy you have to get off the net and pay cash for everything and I'm not sure that's even possible.
