Pine64 is Working on a Linux Smartphone Running KDE Plasma

If the price holds, I'm skeptical about the quality.  But regardless, we are getting some movement again on some phone OS's that are not controlled by Apple or Google.

The targets price should be in $100+ range for 2GB RAM and 16GB storage configuration.

You could throw it away and make money :-)

The timing might be right.  With all the talk about spying there may be a new market for a phone powered by open source software.

Oh I do think the time is right.  This and other projects like the /e/ Foundation and Puriums Libre 5 are wedging open the door - if they can pull off something that works.
