Anyone know much about it. Looks decent as an alternative to a toppy.

My toppy is dying, sad.

I can't answer your question, but my toppy died too - tragic - I loved it.

I went with the Virgin cable offer, so will have their DVR instead now. I won't like it as much as my old Toppy though :(

Twin tuners, single tuner ones mean you have to watch what you ate recording which is crap.

Also the HD aspect is important along with online access to iplayer and hopefully others like itvplayer soon.

Maybe because I'm a Scot - but it still seems a bit pricey to me.

What is it with this industry and Toppies?

I think that the price is low.  I slowly putting together something similar: silent pc running win7 media centre with twin free-sat cards (because I'm bored of sucky freeview coverage around here). I'll be lucky if it comes in at twice that price.  OK, it'll do all my audio and photos as well, but it's still a big price difference and the 3view one won't take 6 months of me trying to grab 20 mins to work on it every now and then.

Does sound quite toppy in it's approach - with KW searches and the like.  I'd be tempted if there was any hope of getting freeview hd around our way for a while.
