I'm surprised it isn't higher. Semi-related.. Sony is putting ever-larger sensors in its phones, likely with the intention to eventually merge DSLR and phone categories.

+155% interest in 35mm film.

That tracks. The people who are serious about photography still want capable cameras that have all the compositional tools (above all, control of depth of field), but more and more of them are going back to film.

But people who used to shoot with an SLR set to P or green square are gone… I’m mostly in that group. I really miss the capabilities of a real camera, but I do not miss the bulk and weight, so the real camera mostly collects dust, even though I frequently curse when trying to take macros or landscapes.
