First thought after seeing it:  Oh man, they are giving lonely seniors talking lamp shades.

I think I posted a couple of years ago about this robot being tested in extended living facilities. Looks like it is gaining traction.

I agree, "robot" isn't the right genre.  More of a voice assistant for the lonely.
