Earlier this week, Walmart announced it will stop selling ammunition for handguns and short-barrel rifles, and that it will ask customers to stop openly carrying guns in stores. The NRA called the move “shameful,”

Yeah they stopped selling all 5.56 and .223 - AR-15 rounds. Also, they stopped selling ALL handgun ammo, which is kinda big.

That sounds big, but it's only for open carry - where the pistol is visible on your person.

1. Ad buy is only $250k.
I get that it's focused on Wash D.C. but still, that's not a lot of money.
You can't buy a house for that amount in many communities.

2.  Liberals selling ads to gun lobby
The ads "will appear in publications like Roll Call, The Washington Post, WTOP, and Politico..."

The real story is who is selling ads to the gun lobbyists and who is not.

Jeff Bezos and the Washington Post are supposedly liberal but they're still selling gun related advertising.  Google does not.

Money. Where mouth is.

True. They've probably gotten more exposure by placing the order than they will get by running the actual ads. Thanks Daily Beast ;-)
