I never understood Twitter, and still don't but it does give an interesting insight for me to see what others are doing.
not sure I understand why they are doing it though....

If you have not done so, try seeing what comes up for a brand, or other important key phrase to you

I was thinking about twitter yesterday, trying to place it conceptually. I think twitter fills the same place as an RSS feed, but for the technically challenged.

Interesting you should say that. I belong to an organization that is struggling to get info out. One very tech savvy member said "I wish there were a Facebook or Twitter feed. To me, it's the new RSS and I pretty much don't watch my RSS feeds at all anymore."
As for twitterfall - during slow periods, I could see just sitting there watching search terms for customers and pinging the ones that look like good prosopects.

Damn! Just sat there watching for about 1 minute and saw someone link to a crappy blog by a competitor (and our friend Pete actually - it's friendly competition and he encouraged us a fair bit when getting started, so no hostility there).
Given that a conversion in this season is worth $400-$600, I could see sitting here scanning this for 30 mins to be a good use of time once I get my competing crappy blog up to compete with Pete.
