I have always wondered what made vikings go out on the rough sea, away from home with a high risk of not returning home for several months in a row ... now I know ...

The infrastructure in Denmark is OK and we have not had any network problems. Hower, big companies and government institutions donít have the VPN capacity to handle all the home office connections bit after a week most have made the necesary modifications.

Denmark is shutting down for 2 weeks. All schools and non-critical instutions will be closed for the next 2 weeks. We only have 500 confirmed cases but it is rising fast, so the government has decided to action so we don't end up like Italy

Web Development / Re: You might not need JQuery
« on: November 07, 2019, 08:53:05 AM »
>>People need one little thing, like an accordion, but all they find are plugins for JQuery, so instead of 10 lines of JS, they have 84 KB of JQuery and seven lines of Javascript.
Couldn't have said it better.

JQuery has been the golden standard for more than 10 years and even though there are still valid use cases it is mostly used by lazy developers.

The problem is that 99% of all javascript related Google queries will give you a SERP full of JQuery solutions so it's really hard to move on.

Google PageSpeed Insights might be the needed accelerator to speed up the transition to Vanilla JS because downloading and parsing a big library like JQuery will screw up your PageSpeed score.

> I realize that just because the overnight rate from a central bank goes negative, that doesn't mean that your mortgage goes negative, but that is the end point of that logic. And that's where it seems so squirrelly.

That is the reality in Denmark. We can get a 10 year mortage with negative interest but then you have to pay fees.
