Thanks y'all, plenty to work from here.

Yeah we usually go Woo for 100 items or less. This is ~2k.

There is no current platform. The client uses the two stores manually and is asking what it would take to build this.

5
Thanks for the input everyone.

>Does the client want it all to run off of one integrated inventory, or do they just want to copy listings from one market to the other?
They want to maintain products on the website and have that automatically update to Amazon/ebay.

Potential client request. Sports memorabilia seller on amazon and ebay. He wants a new site and to be able to list products on the site and that automatically will list the product on his Amazon and ebay seller accounts.

Is there anything off the shelf that will do this?

Most people probably buy a home once or twice. There are a lot of pitfalls from inspections to repairs, flood planes, hidden termite damage, HOA rules, insurance, permits, mortgage/financing and on and on. Joe Sixpack has no idea half of this stuff even needs to be addressed, let alone how to navigate it successfully. Enter the need for someone to help, so they get a piece of the pie.

When I was typing out maybe we'd just have a bump, debbie knew it was wishful thinking.

It's making me go back to just trying with JS off completely. Works in many cases.

Yeah the old adblockplus isn't very effective any longer. Ublock is now being targeted as well.

Killer feature. I really like Synology equipment.

Water Cooler / Re: Again: Get out of rental properties in retirement

A few years ago when I was deciding what to do first, I sat down with a guy with probably 3 dozen rentals in our area. He focused on lower income but still had solid numbers to work from with different styles and layouts (duplexes, singles, multis), with a few years of history. We were assuming owning the properties outright and figured the repairs, maintenance, admin, vacancies, marketing, taxes and we basically worked out all overhead at one meeting.

It came down to about half of gross was true net. Nicer and better properties would see less damage and other benefits so this was a conservative estimate for me, so a sort of guaranteed baseline.

Most/almost all countries closing borders to china, airlines shutting down and now these all-mainland retailers. This is definitely going to hurt China, maybe just a bump for the rest of us.

We use prtg to monitor servers. Great at that job if you need to monitor anything. Maybe once you identify what you want to watch (or block), point a sensor at it?
