Economics & Investing / National Study of Millionaires
« on: August 27, 2019, 01:04:08 AM »
study of 10k by Dave ramsey group.

Things I thought interesting:

The top five careers for millionaires include engineer, accountant, teacher, management and attorney.
79% of millionaires did not receive any inheritance at all from their parents or other family members.
they worked, saved and invested for an average of 28 years before hitting the million-dollar mark, and most of them reached that milestone at age 49.
The overwhelming majority (79%) of millionaires in the U.S. did not receive any inheritance at all from their parents or other family members. While one in five millionaires (21%) received some inheritance, only 3% received an inheritance of $1 million or more.
According to the survey, eight out of 10 millionaires come from families at or below middle-income level. Only 2% of millionaires surveyed said they came from an upper-income family.

Plug in a url and it will gauge reviews on retailers: Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Steam, Sephora

Also works on Yelp and Tripadvisor.

Here is what they thought of the seller of the screen protector I posted a few weeks back which listings reviews and questions didn't match the product (listing is now fixed):

Seller rated D, reviews rating now shows B since this product reviews are now fixed. It was F. Seller rating has remained D.

Marketplaces / Amazon reviews don't match the product listed

Needed a new screen protector. Here's one that looks good by review count/stars:

Except, the first 3 reviews talk about a throw, makeup brushes, and LED flashlight:

And the first three Q&A are about a bluetooth keyboard, solar viewing glasses, and some stackable thing

Any ideas what is going on with product listings like this?

Web Development / Websites are Dead

Good article from Chris Carter. A bit fluff and I don't agree with everything he says, but good points and he is putting some language and perspective on traffic trends that I have been thinking/feeling. I didn't realize it was this extreme, so this is timely for me.
