I don't really care for oceans or, ironically (given my old resort domains), beaches. I like big, broad rivers & sounds. Depth isn't a big issue, waist deep is fine.

I also need trees & greenery. To suit me, the area is going to need around 3 inches of precipitation per month, year-round. My area averages over 4 inches a month.

I also need semi-rural. Farms are a plus, but I wouldn't want it to be all farms. Our nearby urban areas are nice to have for services but are also massively depressing with so many people and too much pavement.

OK, specifically, the Olympic peninsula area of OR|WA. Home of the only North American rain forest, IIRC. Some of the coastal towns are just out of the rain belt.

It'll make a man out of you. If you're a wuss, then look at the "Isothermal Region" of NC in the foothills. Due to the lay of the land, temps stay fairly moderate year round.

Me, I **NEED** water. Lots & lots of water. BIG water. Anything less than a mile wide is a creek and barely counts.
