If you have clients then I think it and total search volume are important in that it gives them an easy metric to look at which can be directly tied to your performance, unlike measurements like sales numbers or page impressions.  Though I would it is much less important than the actual user, impressions, signup and sales numbers in determining the vitality of a project.

There have been some high-profile murder cases here in the US where people have been proven to be in the location of the crime by cell-phone records.  There was also a case where a man was convicted partially because he removed the battery from his cell-phone before he drove off to dump the body.  The take away is -- if you are going to kill someone leave your cell phone at home.

>"How to improve your golf swing"

May be better to make that in HTML format and throw some ads  on it?  I've had moderate success with hosted mult-page howtos over the years.  They never make a lot, but they still trickle in earnings to this day.

That was quite good.  I believe it is 99% attitude too.

I guess the difference between a spammer and a churnalist is budget and eyeballs.

I am in the process of writing an ebook now which I hope to use in market a software product I've been working on.  If anyone else is going through the process I'd be happy to compare notes.

After watching that video I had to poke around at some other videos of Theo Jansen's creations.  Just amazing.  It is very difficult to see how he's converting the wind into kinetic energy.

If these are just "broad match" ads, the same that they were showing before, but now are segregated "related" ads then it may improve ROIs. On the other hand if these are more like "extended broad" matches then it will probably mean more clicks and less conversions.  If I were to place odds I'd go with the latter.

It is built on other modules, LWP and Web::Scraper.  It looks like Web::Scraper is built on Tree base parsing (HTML::Tree).  One guy doing a review of HTML::Tree said that he was able to get 2x faster results by pre-stripping attributes like <span> and tables.

Seems to do it all and is easy to use if you are a perl DIYer.

Here is a bit from its author:
