BBC has an interesting article today about Baidu, although actually the most handy bits in it for me is the info about the competitors
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-13205047
according to this Baidu has around 75% of the market, with Google on 20% and Sogou on 4%. However they then mention Goso.cn (state backed) which clearly must have less than 1% at present but merits a mention and will presumably be heavily promoted.
Am a little confused by talk of Sogou being a browser though. I think its just a poor explanation - confusing paragraph....

I was messing around with Goso.cn and first thing I noticed is that they got the interface right, then I did a few searches and noticed that there is a lot of blatant censoring going on. It seems that some searches just automatically get rejected.

I think they're all (except Google) heavily censored. I haven't compared the results but I guess Goso is going to be the closest to the Chinese governments idea of a perfect search result. It will be interesting to see if it grows as quickly as some of the other new contenders
