Not that they would ever do it, but it is a pity they don't sell the AV and ATW domains to some new aspiring search engine that is serious about search.
I feel bad that those names have to be part of Yahoo's slow death march.

I can't believe that Yahoo! would just pull the plug on a top 500 site on the internet.
Still, I'm sure it was a nice little christmas gift for competitors like Xmarks and Pinboard.in in the form of some unexpected attention and panicked sign-ups.

One of my mates works for Yahoo as a software engineer in the mapping division. He was saying they are looking at cuts all over the place when I saw him over Christmas. Not a good time to be a Yahoo

Aah, the good old days with AV, ATW etc. I remember when we had the ATW, AV etc. forum at WMW and we actually saw some action there too.
Al down the drain now. Too bad.
