I'm sure some of you have seen this, but if you haven't take 5 minutes and take a look. http://www.fiverr.com/  It's pretty interesting. I got lost there for about half an hour when I first saw it. You can get links, directory subs, and all manner of weird stuff done for 5 bucks.

You can get a slutty I mean sexy chick in halter top make a video about your website so you can put it on youtube.

Random stuff like getting your name yelled out at times square/grand canyon/etc.

Fix this, build that, setup a site, get backlinks, translations, plr content, themes, plugins, yada yada.

A lot of them are garbage, but great little gig site to get quick and cheap one-off slave work done.

I actually bought a gig yesterday, had a plugin that needed updating for WP3, I couldn't be bothered with myself. Had a guy fix it for 5 bucks, though I did have to prod him to actually fix it instead of telling me how to change the theme to make it work.  Through msgs back and forth, and several upgrades (he kept sending it with new updates), the guy worked on it over 2 hours.

Plugin works, and that was probably worth 20 (or more) but got it for 5.

A friend of mine just put out an ebook of 100 ways to save money using Fiverr.com. Looked through it just now and while there is nothing you can't find from going to the site it is a good, quick way to get a feel for the type fo stuff offered there. http://fivebuckebook.com It is free but he is asking for donations to a charity.

I like it. It seems like cheap way to engage people at lots of levels.

...and I was asked to be an expert there and actually did one market research for a VC, about 2 months ago, but a few of the experts were working for peanuts driving costs too low, so I backburnered it, as a place to just buy info.

I just bought about 12 gigs over at fiverr that were oriented around posting/sharing your page on with their friends, on their Facebook wall.  Since I didn't have money in my paypal account, I'm going to have to wait days until the payments clear, so I can actually fill out the instructions and see what happens and let you know.

Pretty amazing how low tech/hacked that site is, and yet its getting huge activity it seems.  The pre-approved payment thing is a real hack... they should have made it a basket and then used Parallel Payments so you could fill a basket and check out once, and pay everyone at the same time.  Maybe there is a reason they didn't but the lack of some other things I'd expect, like some basic instructions, make me wonder.  Its proof that if people like what you have, they will figure out anything.

yeah, I think you need to play the field... I figured I'd just drop $100 and see what it did. No idea how I'll be able to tell who did what, but what the heck?
