Good.

Maybe forums will make a comeback.  Much better.

They seem to suffer with the phone-as-primary-browser crowd.

Short vid formats seem to be winning currently. Easy to create & post with a phone or tablet.

The Reddit layout bridges between forums & vids pretty well  ...can be forum-like if a user learns how to use a subreddit's /new function.

The (hosted) forum software Discourse is notable, btw. Used by Hubitat, Samsung, and other smarthome vendors.  Has a modern feel.

Yeah Discourse is a pretty good update of forums.  Mojeek community and /e/ foundation community are both on Discourse although I have no idea what they look like on phones.
