I have to say this could be ground breaking for people with disabilities to be able to navigate with their eyes. But why do the goggles have to be so huge? Also...it's corded?

One problem with VR headsets is that they tend to lag and if the lag is more than a certain amount people get seasick. They couldn’t solve this until computing capacity was sufficient.

So my guess is that the size is required by the amount of hardware they need to pack in and they will get sleeker over time. Just go look up pictures of cell phones from the 1980s.

HA! My Dad had a bag phone in the early 1990s. He loved it because you could get signal damn near anywhere. (You may need to get up on top of the tractor cab to do it, but at least you could make the call.)

There was a great gnashing of teeth and rending of garments around here when the old analog transceiver towers when dead. A lot of contractors liked them because they worked at job sites.

That show predicts everything. It's a bit creepy.

I finally watched the YT video (above) and it looks great although I'm not so sure about actually working on the Web with one.

Thoughts:

1. This is about consuming stuff like movies, maybe web stuff, music whatever.  It's not about creating things.  I could be wrong.

2. Many states/cities have outlawed having a smartphone in your hand while driving.  Now we'll have to outlaw wearing VisionPro while driving.  (You know people will do this.)

3. The creation of your own avatar to stand in for you during video conference calls is creepy.

4. It's going to screw up peoples hair.

5. Starting price of $3500 ... too much for me.

6. Muggings.  People used to be mugged for their iPhones, now we'll have muggings of people wearing VisionPros.
