the most expensive piece of Chinese porcelain

A Chinese vase sold at auction for £53million was kept on wobbly bookcase in a semi and insured for just £800

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1329308/How-53million-Chinese-vase-kept-wobbly-bookcase-semi-insured-just-800.html

the vase belonged to an elderly man who inherited it from his uncle, an explorer who traveled frequently to the Far East. When the man died this year it was left as part of his estate to his sister, in her seventies, and her married son, in his forties.

Last night the pair were virtually in hiding after their lottery-style win, pleading with the auction house to honour a promise that their identities would not be revealed

awesome  story :)

I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible. But, pissing everyone off is a piece of cake!
