One of UK Apprentice fans

This account is rather brilliant.
For those who didn't watch, Mark Wright was this years winner.  He was an annoying pillock and had the really original business idea of setting up an SEO agency.

I'd watched the series. He had a few bold statements like "knows where the industry will be in 5 years time". Most of the series it sounded like he was doing PPC anyway, it wasn't clear whether he'd done or intended to do organic stuff.

Here's their website
climb-online.co.uk

Interesting. I thought he was ppc until closer to the end as well. I'm still not sure if he knows the difference.

I stopped watching The Apprentice a few years ago when it become apparent it wasn't about business talent but TV controversy and entertainment.

However, as there was an *cough* SEO, winning this series, do you think it's worth catching on iPlayer?

Nope.
It was slightly less painful than the last few series, but not much. I used to enjoy it. Now my wife does.

I didn't see any of it aside from the final, and I was actually squirming watching it, it was so embarrasing.

Although when they dressed up and pretended to climb ladders I realised that I was probably drunk and imagining much of it. Please tell me I was?

No, they really were climbing stuff. Ladders, plastic rockfaces.

But the worst place they climbed was under my skin ;+}

I badger the guy now and then on twitter, with his SEO 'product' (it's a process not a product!).

I also badger Sugar a little, i set up a 'climb online' page on my website and got to position 16 within 5 minutes - "No give ME 250k!".

The guy is a salesman and will be hiring cheap in-house, though god knows who will train them as he is no techie.

I couldn't believe it took Shooga (or any of the board) until the last episode to ask "So who will actually be doing the work?".

It's a big joke and the lad's getting lots of stick from the industry, the least of which is printed here :

I'd agree it's not worth watching if you've already lost faith in the entertainment value of the show.

There's only vague references to online marketing and maybe 3 of the contestants seemed like winning candidates. Got a soft spot for the Irish accent on Roisin so I persisted to the end.
