Looks like a great week guys.  Dras?

>workout with your daughter.

I did my usual 4/4 with mine (she's my second oldest, 16 y.o.).  On our last workout of the week my oldest (18 y.o.) came with us.  She has no real weight training experience, but I think she's been inspired by the 16 y.o..  My oldest is a bit under developed when it comes to strength, but I think she has good potential if sticks with it.  For her first time doing the exercises she had very good form.  Meanwhile the 16 y.o. is taking huge pride in being stronger than about 40% of the males in the gym -- she's still rolling up her sleeves and flexing in the mirror.

We didn't get to do our sprints on Sunday due to rain, I am hoping to get to them today.

177.5 this morning.  Given my daily weight deviation of +/- 2 pounds, I consider this to be excellent results through the usually diet-killing Halloween-Thanksgiving-Christmas season.  I've been traveling well over half the time during this period, but have focused on eating ultra-low-carb.

BTW, 2 pounds of steak does a pretty good job of displacing cravings for pumpkin or cherry pie.

2/4. 1 cycle, 1 lazy tennis. I guess the odd walk , but nothing very strenuous.

Meat & Black Coffee Diet. I'd write a book detailing the menu selection but the title would be a spoiler.  I've been home since Thursday evening, Louise of still at relatives, good time to get serious.

5 exercise days this week, all runs, all rather short. Still, happy with that consider it's been a travel/holiday/family week

How did it go for the rest of you?

171 today. BTW, I use a balance-beam scale for accuracy. It always amazes me how much daily variance there is.

I start the *heavy* holiday traveling/partying tomorrow and wanted to get to 170-ish beforehand. Individually, the venues are not as diet-threatening as Halloween & Thanksgiving, but there is a whole bunch more of it. Pretty continuous with only a few breaks until New Year.  No matter how it goes in December, I've not made it through Thanksgiving before and maintained my diet.  That was pretty cool.

I read somewhere recently that most people do their weight gaining from Holiday eating.  They think they'll lose it later, but most just keep it on and then repeat the next year.

At Pubcon1 I was just coming off a decade-long stint of eating every meal in a restaurant. That was part of the problem, yes, but holiday & travel eating was the other part, probably more than half of it.  This is at least the 3rd time I've had to resort to low-carb to reign in my weight.  The creep back up *always* started with a combination of food boredom and a big holiday &/OR travel event.  With each new session of dieting I've eventually been able to get to a lower weight than the previous diet -which was great- but after the 2nd time or so I started to focus on breaking the cycle --which usually means a lifestyle change.  Trouble was, I really liked my lifestyle.

Ha ha! I think we can all blame most of our failures on that!

So how was last week?
Good one for me.

Tennis (very cold)
run  (only 2 miles, but first for 6 weeks and Glut strong)
Cycle - mountain bike with mates in the hills.

so only 3/4 but happy with that.

How are you feeling now littleman?

@Rupert
>>and Glut strong

??

Anyway, good job sticking with it. I've also been doing some pretty short runs, but trying to keep the frequency up more than the quantity.

This week, barely made my goal: 4/4 (2 * run, 1 * DH ski, 1 * XC ski)
