>>Thanksgiving

Things are off the hook here. All of SFO and LA decided to get away from the crowds and come here with the predictable result that it's now more crowded than LA or SFO. A friend went to the grocery store yesterday and the line to get into the park at 1:30 was two miles long. Yes two measured miles - from the gate to the Fish Camp store... might be 1.9. The hotels and restaurants are overflowing. Rumor is that the trails are completely packed and most people don't have masks. No parking. There is a governor's order that anyone from out of state should quarantine for two weeks. They seem to be quarantining on our trails and in our restaurants.

In other words, there is no virus. Everything is normal. Go about your lives.

Scented candles ... an unexpected victim of Covid.

"I purchased three of these. What a waste. Thereís virtually NO scent to these at all!! If I wasnít confined to my home because of covid I would return these for sure."

Maybe this should have gone in the humor thread!

>Things are off the hook here.

We went out on the barrier islands for a picnic and some bird-watching on the Atlantic Flyway's shore marshes.  (Thousands of swans there this year, btw.) You'd expect that area to be void of humans in late Fall ....but not this year!  There were pretty good crowds at all the the pull-offs and park facilities.  A good number of restaurants were open and one of the best ones had a nearly full parking lot by 5:30.

Judging from the lights & cars, cottages along the oceanfront road were 20-25% occupied in the more popular sections and 15% in other areas.

25-30% of women wore masks in restrooms and parking lots. <5% of men.

>there is no virus. Everything is normal. Go about your lives.

Same here on the East Coast.
