My title is still being determined, but the position will be to serve as a sort of public liaison for search. The goal is to increase the connection between those at Google who work hard on search each day and the public that depends on Google for answers. I’ll be educating the public about how search works. As an individual I've always liked Danny.  It will be interesting to see how he does this new role.

He carved out a fascinating niche to report on back when there were 6 or 8 major search engines and he did it well.  I kinda felt sorry for him after it dwindled down to just Google 24/7.  I mean what's to cover? Well now he gets to front for Google but I bet they pay well.
