Title: Dessicant AC systems
Post by: rcjordan on July 03, 2020, 11:48:48 AM
(picked up from another thread)

A.K.A. 'Swamp Coolers"

Evaporation coolers do not work well in high humidity areas, so not an option in most coastal areas or the US south.  In arid-hot areas like Arizona, I've heard of homes installing mister systems indoors --the mist evaporates before it hits the floor!

BTW, I've been to Phoenix a couple of times  ...don't believe that absolute bullshit about dry heat isn't hot.

They're pretty standard around here. In the arid areas, more common than A/C

I seriously just want to f### Off to the forest and live with the animals. Trouble is that all the forests are owned by English Bastards.

Didn't know of these.

Before cars had internal AC, they used Thermador Car Cooler's.
