This seems like it would be easier to do then the deep fakes of Princess Leia. I wonder how long it will be until they could have an entire movie without any actors, voice or otherwise?

"As Monday began, “Heart on My Sleeve” was racking up enough listens and views that it appeared to be on track to become a charting song when this week’s chart results are released next Monday. However, DSPs began deleting the track during the day, presumably under pressure from Universal Music Group. After initially disappearing from Tidal and Apple Music, it also became invisible in Spotify search results and was “greyed out” as unplayable on a bookmarked page. "

The new creative tech is beyond disruptive for this industry. It is still in its infancy and already far cheaper & faster. I can't see a way for actors, writers, producers, etc. to preserve scarcity and charge $$ for it.
-
I think like everything, there will always be a market for a small number of people, but you won't need vast armies.
People have a tendency to say, "Yeah, but it will be a long time until an AI can do X." The problem with that is the studios won't wait until an AI can make films like the current films. AIs will make new sorts of films.
I was listening to Tom Hanks recently point out that that is because the technology makes that possible. He pointed out that even the first Batman movie was a wires and stuntpeople affair, but now they are massive CGI productions. The flood is based on the fact that these massive extravaganzas can mostly be green-screened.
So the tech drives the story. The medium is the message. It's not that AI will take over the jobs in the current industry, but that it will start to remake the industry in its image by favoring films that lend themselves to using more and more AI in production.
