Title: My sports filters must be pretty tight
Post by: rcjordan on November 04, 2017, 09:59:53 AM
Over the last couple of weeks I was only vaguely aware that it was World Series time despite consuming news at my usual voracious pace.  I'd say I saw less than 5 articles that slipped past the filters during that time, including one last night that let me know the Astros had won.  Perfect! (The filters. I don't care who won.)

Somehow, despite being a heavy news reader (and son of a college football coach and athletic director), my sports filters have always worked.

I remember one day walking down the street and a guy got off his shift and came out and said "Who won?"

I said "Who played?" It turned out it was Superbowl Sunday.

>World Series

Damn, I'm impressed.  I hadn't seen a single mention this year until /r posted about the way a pitcher's arm was bent.

And your post is the first mention I have seen of the World Series. But then, that's not rare for me.

What would be impressive is if Trump went to the mound to pitch and your filters still blocked the story. Then I would want access to your filters ;-)
