I don't know about the rest of the state, but in just one year eastern NC is now literally bristling with new solar farms. Hell, at this rate there will soon be no room for corn. These are 20-30 acre installations with thousands of panels, row upon row.

Imagine what will happen if they ever stop subsidizing corn?
Makes sense though, but I wonder how the humidity and occasional hurricane will impact the profitability?
