Yeah... but as I said, after a few months of using Brave as my primary browser, I got sick of broken pages and sites that don't work. Now I'm back to Firefox or Chrome.

I love the idea of credits that get sent to content creators, more than the privacy features, but it was just too much hassle for me to deal with when I'm trying to buckle down and focus on getting some serious procrastination done on the web.

Had a look at how much it'd be to advertise via Brave with their monetisation system. Looks like they reckon it's around $20/CPM, way higher than what I thought it'd be. Got me into the rabbit hole of seeing how they mitigate click fraud etc while still being privacy friendly. I'm sure those with the most layers of tin foil on their hat wouldn't like the mitigation they do, but my takeaway is being surprised on the CPM and payout to users.

Yeah, there is that too. In their efforts to survive until they can solve the chicken and egg problem, they're rewriting URLs to their affiliate links and so forth. I feel that they are fairly open about it, but still, it is not a privacy-enhanced browser, that's for sure.
