I hate tailgaters....

My story... I'm going about 5mph over the speed limit. I know that up ahead is a potentially bad spot (ice, radar, pedestrians, not necessarily in that order). Some guy is right on my a## (I mean really - closer than the guy in the video by far). I know it's dangerous for him to be going any faster, but I'm going to pull over at the very first spot because I'm not a cop, it's not my job to keep his speed down and this is dangerous. But give me some damn room until there's a pullout (which I know is coming in about 0.5 miles).

But he won't let up. Right on my tail. And since it's been icy, they've been sanding the road, so there are non-sandy tracks with sand in the middle. I move over just a foot so that instead of both tires being on the clean road, they're on the sand kicking up a huge shitload of gravel all over his brand new car. He slams the brakes, falls back and then 10 seconds later, is right back on my a##. I drift toward the middle of the road and shower him with gravel again.

He gave me the finger. I took 5 years off the life of his paint job.

He learned nothing. I learned an incredible winter driving safety trick. If someone is following too close, you want to be sure you have excellent traction, so it is a safety requirement to make sure your wheels are on the nice, safe, sandy part of the road.
