Well, we're suckers for the coasts, but that makes sense from a historical perspective because of how the US was explored by sea & estuaries and originally colonized by western EU. Besides, the inland areas suck, hhh!
The Gulf, yeah, east coasters know what a weather engine it is. But the Rockies & high elevation plains --that was surprising. I hadn't put that together.
