Drilled into my finger today!

Managed to plunge a 2mm drill bit into my finger today, the only pain i've had that was worse was a toothache from hell not long ago.

Unexpected yelps of pain are funny, they never sound like you! Mine sounded like a cross between a puppy and a girl!

The finger is much darker and redder to the eye, my phone seems to over saturate everything.

There's a saying among builders;  'If I'm not bleeding, I'm not working.'

My left hand has been catching hell while working on the pier.

Yup. A couple of rest days here after getting a substantial impact on my left arm. Can't open jars now. After the initial impact, I thought I was going to throw up. But probably not as bad as your finger.

The carpenter who was doing the finish work on our house was almost done when he double-tapped with the nail gun and drove a nail right through his thumb and nailed it to the wall. Pulled out his hammer, pried the thumb and nail out of the wall, grabbed some pliers and extracted the nail, pulled out some electricians tape, wrapped the thumb, and finished putting in the last closet shelves. He lived about 1.5 hours away and he said, "Yeah, no way I was doing that drive again just to come back for a few quick shelves." Tough guy.

I love my mitre saws. I leave the 10-inch one set up and use it all the time.  I *guess* that I use a tablesaw more overall, but it'd be a close race between the two..

I love it, it's really handy, mine's only about 8 inches (210mm) and was only £60, but great reviews everywhere, and it is like a knife through butter. I've used it without bolting it down yet and it's stable, even with 1 inch oak about 5 inches deep, but now i'm tempted to buy the table that's cheap too, £120 all-in and you have a great tool with loads of great reviews and a 3 year warranty. Expensive blades though. But there's many reviews doing good tests of the cutting accuracy and it didn't take long to set up.

Table-saws, i'd like one of those, i have a tiny, unsafe cheapy one that is useable but i need to cut largish sheet 10mm acrylic, thinking of following one of the many YT videos on making a mini table saw with a dremel or copy. It's just so easy for large, flat cuts but you need the room too.
