Yeah, back when I was using wifi devices, I started looking at the Sonoff Basic inline switch to hack a few small appliances.
https://www.amazon.com/Sonoff-Remote-Control-Compatible-Android/dp/B078GDFYTYThat's when I decided it was dumb to keep adding to my cloud dependencies, went looking, and eventually found Hubitat.
SO now I'm through with the basic household infrastructure and am ready to hack small appliances but -Yeow!- inline switches/relays are high-$$. I was hoping for something like the Sonoff price of $7 each. Those cheap chinese switches are the cheapest I could find
(Amz) without going through Alibaba|Ebay and the unknown merchants problem.
>I have an alarm system, 5 pirs all wired, door contacts.... a bell battery and a keypad..
Konnected.io shows it compatible with Hubitat. That's interesting. One of my daughters is planning to drop her wired security service provider this summer. Konnected.io looks to be a PITA, but it might be worthwhile to grind through it if you could salvage a previous system.
