Doug, you do keep banging on about Vegas - you're as bad as some other folk I know  ;)

Maybe in Leeds then on the 5th at Think viz...   Or is that packing too much into the one night....

IOM the flights tend to be more expensive than going to Vegas.

Leadscon is a good show, but I won't be going this year, other things to be keeping me busy. I'm doing adtech SF the following month and that west coast back and forth is starting to hit, must be me getting older.

March is reasonably free for me, just need to know where and when.

In respect of hotels, I have a hotel booking web site, if people book through that why don't I just put the commish behind the bar for some drinks. Or if someone else has higher rate commish (i.e. does more in hotels) then they can take care of it instead. Seems like a non-brainer. If you work on the basis of even say 10 people in single rooms costing £80 a night that is £800 and at say 8% commish that runs to £65 of booze, not a huge amount I know, but might be two rounds for the 10.

OK, time to shake the tree.

Is this going to happen on March 5th or is it dead in the water?

OK Jetboy - here's your answer.

The majority of folks seem happy with the 5th March.

Some of us are booked into the Britannia Hotel, Portland Street. http://www.britanniahotels.com/hotels/manchester

I was talking last night to mick g and he suggests we eat on Saturday evening in Chinatown as most folks like Chinese food, plus they tend to have straight English food on the menu too and there are plenty of restaurants around Chinatown of varying sizes to accomodate us.

The Saturday afternoon meet will be at the Ape and Apple pub - as used once before - SEO Roadshow?

Some good people coming, but all, veterans and newbies, are welcome.

Please feel free to post long reasons why you can't make it and I promise I'll ignore them  ;D

Nope, no excuses. Booked in on the 4th and 5th, and I've learned over the years that Mick is excellent and his taste in restaurants isn't half bad, so Saturday sounds good to me. :)

* Edited as per Mick's advice ;)

>>>>>Mick's taste in restaurants isn't half bad

i think you need to edit your post to say "is excellent" :)

anyway the restaurant i have in mind is the kwok man what is within walking distance from the hotel

http://www.kwokman.com/

sadly there is absolutely f u c k all on the website but believe me when i say its one of the best restaurants in Manchester for Chinese food, as they say if the Chinese eat there then its got to be good

bon appetite and see you there.......
I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible. But, pissing everyone off is a piece of cake!

Booked in at the Brittania on the 5th.

Look forward to Mick G welcoming me into an empty hotel room and shooting me in the head  ;D (see Inner Core thread)

Cheers,

Ed
