Forbes does these click bait lists TOO

I will not click through 50 pages.

Slideshow. Decent format for this type of list. It's tolerable.

This one made reddit. From what I know about some of the cities, I think they did alright.

The format doesn't bother me.

I'll talk about the nearby cities on the list.

40. Medford, Oregon

Last time I drove through there I saw a billboard proclaiming "The Pope is Satin" -- it was the first thing people see as they drive into the city.  Medford is just a little north of Ashland Oregon, which is a really nice town.

13. Stockton, California

One of the worst places I have ever been to.  There's a huge amount of poverty and crime.  The KFC had thick bullet proof glass at the counter.  I've seen some really odd stuff in that town.

9. Merced, California

I haven't spent any time there but it is close to Stockton.

I don't think most people know how poor the central valley of California is.  There's been talk about splitting California up into three or four states, but if the central valley were on its own it would rank as the most impoverished state in the nation.

My state has 3 cities on the list.  No surprise.
