The dumbbell shortage
« on: August 30, 2020, 06:24:08 PM »
No no, not that kind. It turns out that while the pandemic has revealed a plentiful supply of one sort of dumbbells, it has resulted in a shortage of the OTHER kind

BTW, they do not mention Powerblock adjustable dumbbells which are the *best* option. The others have breakable pieces, require you to use the rack, don't stand up on their own, roll (which could be good or bad).

I have some heavy iron dumbells from the 1990s that I bought new as a young man.  They're the kind with removable plates.  They have worked well for me, though I wish I had a little more weight to work with.

This reminds me, I've been meaning to revive that old thread.
