I'd heard https://b2evolution.net demo was down and I just got around to looking into it and discovered this from the maintainer:

The pandemic dried up most of the corporate funding for B2evo, he's worn out and asking for it to be forked.

Hopefully someone will take it on.

Interesting that both Wordpress and B2evo grew out of the B2 blog script.
