AMP never made sense to me. Your pages, on Google servers, with no ads or tracking.

I cannot understand anyone who signed on for this.

Google is trying to backdoor what Facebook did, create their own little private walled Web where they have control.

And in totally unrelated news, WIRED carrying Google's water, promoting narratives that URLs are just too darn confusing to use, and it is up to Google to solve this grave problem for us, when it is Google AMP & Facebook Instant Articles that try to usurp control of 3rd party content that are obfuscating URLs.

Trusting the entities which create a (false?) problem to further their own self-serving goals to find a solution which is not self-serving is highly suspect.
