Mailing List Collection
« on: November 19, 2010, 08:38:48 AM »
What do you used for collecting emails.

I would like to find  solution that could be used for multiple sites on the same server. Maybe even ones on different servers?

Trying to find a nice simple solution and I was looking for feedback.

Cheers

Not sure if you are looking for something that works out of the box.. this is our homemade set up for what it's worth:
We have a few standard scripts on every server that can be accessed by all domains (using Apache Alias).
Ie the clicktracker, email gatherer, spam protected contact forms, search engine referrer logging.
The data that comes in from different servers and domains is stored on one central database server, and the data processing tools can stay universal for all projects and have to run only on the central database.
Very simple .. once it is in place ;)

In another thread we talked about the paid services out there and not having the tech skills to run an email server, I'd recommend Aweber or Mailchimp. Not your cheapest solution but will git'er done.
