I rarely use Seo for Firefox anymore. Back when the algos were easier (more link-based with less brand-related stuff) it was great for quick looking at link data, but now of course the game is much more than building links.
I like being able to do quick spot checking of ranking with rank checker, though I am a big fan of Advanced Web Ranking for their interface and charting.
I like using the toolbar rather often for things like quickly seeing the links into a page, the ranking footprint of a site via SEMrush, or viewing the Google cache version of a page.
Sorry you had trouble with the toolbar. I've been pretty frustrated with some of the moves Mozilla has made trying to chase Google Chrome.
The sad part is that Mozilla wouldn't have lost much of their userbase to Google Chrome if they would have did a deal with Adobe to prevent Firefox users from repeatedly being bombarded with Adobe Flash updates that negative option bundle Google Chrome and set it as the default web browser. My guess is something like a half or even 2/3 of the Google Chrome install base is from Adobe Flash security updates and similar bundleware methods.
I am glad we didn't make extensions for Google Chrome, as they've been even far more restrictive with what they allow (forcing installs exclusively from the Google store, etc.)
