Title: Shopify Google Shopping and Options and Alternatives
Post by: ukgimp on September 12, 2016, 09:12:23 AM
Hello

We are playing around with Shopify and finding it has some limitations and some upsides:

There was this thread re SEO >> http://th3core.com/talk/web-development/is-shopify-a-good-platform-for-seo/

It allows a quick MVP but is proving a real swine when it comes to importing to Google Shopping. Eg the description we use on page gets rejected as it is too user friendly and fluffy. Eg is should real "Gold ladies watch with diamonds" and not, "This slim sexy watch from X has a beautiful gold strap.....etc etc".

Also if you mention a colour option, you have to have one in GS, but then it is a field with just one option. It's almost like you need hidden field just got GS.

Anyone any experience or offer any insights.

Any other solutions that are quick to set up.

Cheers

The only experience I have is that GS have really tightened the rules on what you put in the feed.  It has to match very closely what you tell them, so changing the title just for GS will get you kicked out and then you have huge steps to go through to get re included.
