This comment form is great, but the article is absurd.
I would see this a lot and hear this a lot in Yosemite. 99% of the people who make comments like this are being sarcastic. There are rare cases where it seems to be sincere, but this one for sure reads like the kind of thing people say with a wink and smile. This comment is not uncommon among our rental guests too and it is *never* meant in seriousness.
It's possible this is an exception, but this is so over the top that I am sure it was meant humorously. Among friends we often make joke comments about how poorly the park is maintained because there are a lot of trees ruining the view.
The person I take issue with is the park concession employee who couldn't tell this was a joke. That's the result of having no sense of humor, which is mostly the result of some superiority complex that leads them to assume that visitors are stupid instead of funny.
I've definitely seen stupid visitors and fielded some stupid questions/comments, but they don't sound like this. This one sounds like the kind of thing I put on comment forms to amuse myself.

Some of the comments in this video are, however, inspired by genuine comments/questions. My father's elderly friends are telling me all the time that they had a great time in Yosemite, saw all the geysers (that's Yellowstone). And people do stop in the middle of the road and hold up traffic all the time and wonder why people are in such a hurry, forgetting that thousands of people in the park actually have to get to work on time.

One time I was talking to the guy who used to drive the truck and dump the restaurant trash in the years after they stopped the bear feeding, but were still using open dumps. He said he would show up in the truck and the bears would swarm out of the woods. He would have to swerve around to shake them off, then quickly dump the trash.

I used to fish every year in the UP of Michigan and part of the entertainment was driving to the local dump to watch the black bears. Only time I ever saw a bear outside of captivity.
