I think it is really great how people and organizations are stepping up to fill in the gap left by incompetent governments. A couple of days ago I put up a link showing a bunch of crowd sourced ventilator projects. We don't have 3d printers but my wife is making masks out of old t-shirts that have a pocket inside them to add a heater filter or HEPAfilter insert. With the shortage of n95 masks hospitals are asking for homemade masks to either wear by themselves or on top of n95s that they reuse.
