This has been entertaining on Youtube. My cynical theory is Jerod Shelby knew he'd either 1) get away with the outrageous top speed claim and lots of free PR, or 2) he'd be called out and get EVEN MORE free PR with the "I'm sorry" video and subsequent retest. He invited big Youtubers to the retest.
