Title: Video on Mac, ipad etc - Mac users, can you help me out?

Apple users, can you help me out? -

I am working on a project which involves webcasting.  I am happy with most things and am now at the early testing stage.

I don't own a mac, ipad etc so was wondering what the process (usually) is when a mac user lands on a page with flash video.  Do you get offered a video in another format and do you have to download software to view it?

Any Mac OSX computer will run Flash.  The iPad (and iPhone) will not run flash.  You might want to look at Quicktime.

usually, I am told that I need to download a plugin, but I don't know if that is automatic or if the developer put that in to the page...

Thanks all.

It seems to be a difficult area.  iphone/pad users say 'You must develop for us'.  Non i users say 'Fu*k em'.  I can see it from both sides really (reminds me of the 80's).

I have it working (mostly) for both, but I'll report back on my experiences running it as a business.
