Maybe, but it is incredible how resistant to change the construction trades are and how inefficient home building is. Imagine if every time you ordered a new car, a rotating set of crews showed up at your property and started assembling it according to a set of plans that was different from any plan they had ever seen before.
Meanwhile, the quality of "manufactured" homes tends to be low. The vast majority (basically all the ones that you think of when you hear that term instead of "pre-fab") can't even be installed here because the roofs are not strong enough to meet the snow load requirements.
The way it works now, is most residential construction contractors will not try a new product or minor technique unless it gets sold them by the local lumber yard or plumbing supply. Even something as old and tested as SIPs are just completely out of their wheelhouse with a few exceptions.

Indeed. Moved to a house built in 1890. Needs repointing, needs wall insulation, the roof insulation probably needs done, sash windows replaced and floor insulation.
There's regulations for new builds but at least in the UK climate, efforts have to be made wrt heat efficiency.
I'm surprised there isn't a way to do this with cob instead of concrete...?
