Probably have to go after both. The fast food industry has had plenty of warning and they are the low hanging fruit, so start phasing out plastic straws, foam clam shells, foam cups etc. first.
That was sort of tongue in cheek. I do think you have to go after the demand side.
But what I was trying to say is that there is a third side: the lobbying and PR side, which has been behind a lot of the feel-good propaganda about recycling, which we now know was mostly a lie and they knew it was lie going back to the 1970s. It made people think that throwing plastic in the blue bin was like throwing aluminum in the blue bin, but it's not the same thing even remotely.
