when you see Googles social 'fingers in pies' in a list like that it's somewhat of a shock to the system. Fact is however that we all know 'social signals' is where Google would *like* to move search, even if we disagree about how they'll attempt it and how successful they'll be, so this is something that's going to impact most of us in the next months or years.

that could, indeed, be googles proposed usp on social media, given android and the growing 'straight to smartphone' global market. I wonder how they'd be at creating a great interface, they've not demonstrated a really good one yet, imho, aside from a big white search page.
