My niece quit her job at Etsy just before the pandemic to join... wait for it... and event planning SAAS company. I haven't asked whether she wished she had stayed.
That said, she managed to hold onto her job and her original reason for the change was that all her professional experience had been on similar platforms and the same language and she didn't wanted to make sure she kept her skillset somewhat broader when she was young. I think that attitude will pay off in the long run better than hunkering down, sticking to what you know and playing it safe.
